The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday announced the commencement of sale of nomination forms for national party positions in the August 17th national convention holding in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
A statement by Prince Dayo Adeyeye on behalf of the national caretaker committee said intending aspirants contesting for any of the following Offices: Ward Ad-Hoc Delegate, Local Government Area Delegate and National
Offices are were advised to obtain the forms at N0 13, Thaba Tseka Street, Wuse II, Abujam opposite Panel Apartments 8:00am – 6:00pm daily.
Also in a statement, the party paid a tribute to its National Caretaker Committee, Ahmed Makarfi on his 59th birthday.
The statement said: “On behalf of members of the National Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the entire PDP family nationwide, we wish to
warmly felicitate with our Chairman, H. E. Senator Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi, CON, a distinguished reformer, bridge builder and an icon of humility on his 59th Birthday.
“No doubt, Fifty Nine years in the life of a man is indeed significant. Senator Ahmed Makarfi is a man who for the better part of his life has demonstrated uncommon leadership qualities in his services to his home state, Kaduna as a Governor for two terms, and Nigeria as a Senator of the Federal Republic.
“Your Excellency Sir, you have also shown your leadership prowess in the last two months to stabilize the ship of our Party in transition towards a greater PDP, and under your leadership, Nigerians have renewed hope in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the only vehicle to rescue this
great Nation from hardship, deprivation and hunger that have bedeviled her in the last one year.
