New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has held its state congress where it elected executives through consensus.
The composition of the forty executives were under the watch of Honourable Mukhtari Ibrahim.Gwanga who emerged state chairman on Monday March 21, 2022.
He was confirmed through voice affirmation by the delegates.
The congress was attended by thousands of party members who recently defected from PDP, APC amongst others who decamped to the party alongside their leader, Malam Aminu Ibrahim Ringim.
Malam Aminu Ibrahim Ringim, a two-time PDP gubernatorial candidate during 2015 and 2019 general election and thousands of his political associates joined the NNPP which was declared as the “Third Force” in present Nigerian democratic arena
Speaking at the congress, the chairman of the committee sent by NNPP national headquarters, Mr Takwak Mikaial said the party was established on principles of democracy and will.stand on same at all times.
In his speech shortly after the Congress, the chairman NNPP. caretaker committee that conducted the election, Senator Musa Bako Aujara described the congress as peaceful and successful.
He however, described the mammoth gathering of party members at the Congress as a sign of hope and confidence that Jigawa people have on the party.
Similarly in his remarks, the party leader, Malam Aminu Ringim, a political associate to Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso charged the party members to work hard in promoting the philosophy of the party in the state and beyond
Malam Aminu also assured party members that the party is determined to win the coming 2023 general elections at all levels to rescue Nigeria from 24 years of bad governance and bring it back to the path of peace, unity and prosperity.
