The Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso has donated a table tennis board to the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Lagos State Council.
The Tennis board was delivered to the NUJ secretariat on Monday, as part of the Commissioner’s drive to support the ongoing initiatives of Lagos NUJ to keep members fit.
The NUJ Chairman, Mr. Adeleye Ajayi thanked Omotoso for his kind gesture.
“This is a move in the right direction, and we thank the honourable Commissioner for keeping to his words.
“With this board, our members can engage in regular exercise to stay fit.
Like Oliver twist, the NUJ Chairman further appealed to the Commissioner to continue to use his office to assist the NUJ in actualising some of its requests in a bid to reposition NUJ.
The Secretary of the Council, Mr Tunde Olalere also expressed gratitude to the Honourable Commissioner for fulfilling his promise.
