The Judicial Commission of Enquiry established by Kaduna State Government to look into the clash between the Military and Shi’ite sect, on Tuesday, led by the Chairman Justice Mohammed Lawal Garba visited the various scenes of the conflict in Zaria.
Despite all efforts by Journalists to have a word with the chairman on the purpose of the visit, he declined comment.
However, our correspondent in Zaria reported that, the visit by the Commission was to see for itself what exactly happened between the Military and members of the Shi’ite sect on December 12th, 2015.
The Commission visited Jushi, where mother of Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky was buried, Darur-Rahma (Shiite shrine) at Dambo village, former resident of Elzakzaky at Gyallesu and Shi;ite spiritual headquarters popularly called Hussainiyya located along Sokoto road where the crisis actually started with the stoppage of the Chief of Army Staff motorcade, and Fudiyya Training Centre at Dan Magaji Zaria.
It could be recalled that on December 12, 2015, the Military accused Shi’ite members of an attempt to assassinate the Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen Tukur Yusuf Buratai which led to Military/Shiite clash resulting in the death of hundreds of people.
