Commander Nigerian Army 9th Brigade, Lagos Taskforce Meet To Strengthen Interagency Synergy

The Commander of the 9th Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Olawale Matthew Oyekola and the Chairman of the Lagos State Taskforce, CSP Adetayo Akerele on Tuesday, held robust discussions which focused on strengthening the existing interagency synergy and fostering a healthy partnership.

The conversation centred on the shared commitment to ensuring the safety and security of lives and property by both Agencies across Lagos State.

Lagos State Taskforce, the discussions took place during a courtesy visit by Commander of the 9th Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Olawale Matthew Oyekola to the Lagos State Taskforce at the Agency’s headquarters in Oshodi.

According to the statement, the Brigade Commander and his team was warmly received by the Chairman of the Lagos State Taskforce, CSP Adetayo Akerele, alongside other senior officers of the Agency.

During the visit, discussions focused on strengthening the existing interagency synergy and fostering a healthy partnership between the Nigerian Army and the Lagos State Taskforce were highlighted.

” Brigadier General Oyekola commended CSP Akerele for the impressive strides made in recent months, particularly in sanitizing Lagos roads and ensuring a secure environment for all Lagosians.

” He noted that the Nigerian Army stands ready to support the Lagos State Taskforce in any capacity, should the need arise, and pledged continued collaboration to further enhance security efforts across the state.

” In his response, CSP Akerele expressed appreciation for the Nigerian Army’s unwavering support and reaffirmed the Taskforce’s dedication to safeguarding the environment in Lagos State as enshrined in the THEMES PLUS Agenda of the State Government.

” He also promised to do all within his capacity to strengthen the partnership with all relevant agencies actoss board. Both leaders emphasized the importance of maintaining close ties between the military and law enforcement agencies to ensure a safer city for all.

” The courtesy visit marks a continued commitment to operational cooperation and mutual support between the Nigerian Army and the Lagos State Taskforce.”, Gbadeyan stated.
