Cleric celebrates Valentine with over 500 interfaith, IDPs, Destitute

‪‪As part of activity to mark this year Saint Valentine’s Day, a clergy, Pastor Yohanna Buru celebrated with destitute and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Kaduna State.
Pastor Buru led a delegation of Christian leaders of Christ Evangelical Intercessory Fellowship Ministry, Sabon Tasha to “Home of Destitutes to meet with street beggars” and people with different forms of deformities to give them food stuff and drinks.
He also donated other humanitarian assistance to Muslim and Christian inmates at Mallam Niggers Rehabilitation Centre, Rigasa, Kaduna, and some IDPs at Badarawa and Unguwan Dosa in Kaduna North local government area of the state.
Pastor Buru said “we choose these category of human beings to celebrate with them this year simply, because we felt that those are the people of God that really need our love, care and assistance at this seasons, and majority of them were been neglected and rejected by the society which makes live extremely difficult for them and their children to survived.
“As people around the world celebrate valentine with their loved ones, sharing many Good things of joy and happiness, we deem it fit to select the less privileged and inmates with Refugees in other to make them understand that we loved them.  We pray for God to help them overcome all their daily challenges,” he said.
According to him, it was an effort to promote peaceful co-existence between Muslims and Christians in Nigeria and to called on every citizen across the country to shun all forms of ethno-religious and political crisis that has being disturbing stability of the country.
Pastor Buru added that, so many sins were committed on valentine’s days such as rape, sex scandals due to misconception of what valentine is all about.
Receiving the Items on behalf of the Destitute, Spokesman for Northern Blind Forums, Malam Muntari Saleh thanked Pastor  Buru for taken his time to celebrate with them by distributing food and drinks to them.
Malam Muntari Saleh said not all people remembered them on this special valentine day.
