The Congress of Northern Nigeria Christians (CNNC), women wing, Kaduna $tate chapter, organized a prayer summit with the theme, “Arise and cry out” asking for divine intervention for the restoration of the nation from the present challenges.

Speaking to New Nigerian after the programme, the state woman leader, Mrs Hannatu Usman Binniyat, said that the prayer session became inevitable in view of the present challenges every Nigerian is facing.

According to her, “We used the 1st October, 2022 as a day Nigeria got her independence from the colonial masters to pray and commit the country into the hands of the Almighty for total deliverance and restoration of peace in the land. It is no longer news that killings, kidnapping, banditry, animals rustling, rituals and other criminal activities have become the order of the day in the country.”

She added, “There is no Nigerian no matter how highly placed that will say he or she safe and can move freely to any part of the country. The prayer, therefore, is informed with all that Nigerians are made to pass through that as mothers, we feel as believers in the Lord, we should take the burden of the country to the Almighty in prayers for His divine intervention for a way out for sustainable peaceful coexistence in every part of Nigeria.”

According to her, we prayed that the Lord would grat His people knowledge, wisdom and understanding to know the plans and tricks of the enemy against the people, saying, “As a nation, we want to be liberated from political injustice and demand our independence as a nation.”

“As we celebrate this day, the Lord Jesus should deliver us from poverty, insecurity, shame and reproach as well as politics of exclusion in the affairs of governance in Nigeria,” she stressed.

She explained that the prayer session asked for God’s deliverance from economic bondage, unemployment, uneven distribution of wealth and prayed for the Almighty to give a country devoid of corruption, nepotism, sensationalism, tribalism and other evil social vices.

She added that the prayer session centred for the Almighty to deliver the land from the blistering of hypocrisy of those who win elections through the platform of false democracy in Nigeria, adding that prayer was said for the 2023 elections to be free from rigging, bloodshed, vote trading, among other vices.

“We demand for freedom from bad leaders at all levels of governance in Nigeria, remove them and replace them with good leaders. The Almighty should remove everyone that has caused us pains through conspiracy and have our children to be hungry and to be on every street without food, education and insecurity in Nigeria,” she explained.

Earlier, Pastor Cinderella Ego Bako, of the

Operation Catch Fire Minstry, Kafanchan, who preached, enjoined all Christians that

it is time for the children of God to arise and cry out against the challenges the country has found itself.

She added, “We should cry against the injustice in the land. The Church must pray for the Almighty to set the land free from all the present challenges in the country.”
