Chairman of Musaco Investment and Property Ltd, Alhaji Musa Yakubu has expressed delight with his team’s victory over opponents at the opening ceremony of the Car Dealers Peace and Unity Soccer Competition played at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna on Saturday evening.
He said the win was cherished by him and other team mates, who gave in their all to make it happen.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after his team, Musaco Motors beat Urgent Motors 3-1 to top Group B at the maiden edition of the competition; he said they would consolidate on their victory.
“We are happy we won the match even though we were not too prepared because we registered late for the competition,” he said.
Alhaji Yakubu said that even if his team had lost, they would have accepted the results in good faith and rejoiced with their opponents because the aim of the competition was to unite members of the car dealers association.
When asked to comment on the officiating, he described it as fair and transparent.
“It was clear to all present that the officiating was free and fair. It was not done in the dark, everyone could see for themselves that it was okay,” he added.
The Musaco CEO who is also a car racer; a competition from where he has won trophies, praised the organizers of the competition, stressing that it would in no little measure contribute to existing bonds being enjoyed by car dealers.
