*says herders are tired of open grazing

The only sustainable development a society can have is that of human capital, to adequately harness and manage other resources effectively.
An aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State, Shunom Adinga expressed this, while interacting with newsmen in Kaduna.
“When we talk of development, we are talking about human capital. Lack of human capital development has affected the well being of the people.

“Why we insist on good governance in Nigeria, we are looking at human capital as the most effective way of development.
“If you build roads, build bridges and put street lights, the hoodlums and others will use bridges to build as hideout. An illiterate may take the street light panels and sell for a token,” he argued.
He explained that there are lots of gaps when it comes to human, natural and social resources, which are not adequately utilized.
“What makes me think of getting into politics is because there is a lot that is not right,” he said.
According to him, in his quest at ensuring human capital development, he has facilitated training of thousands of herdsmen and farmers, a move he believes will end friction between both important sectors of the economy.
“We have trained not less than 10,000 herders and farmers to bring synergy between the two groups.
“I am the only one that has signed MoU on joint symbiotic relationship with Miyetti Allah to give them a better alternative to grazing from ranching.
“We have done feasibility study, we realized even these people are tired of open grazing,” he submitted.
