Buhari/Osinbajo Suport Group Holds Prayer Rally For PMB

A political support groups under the banner of Buhari Osinbajo Again (BOA) has staged a prayer rally for President Muhammadu Buhari.

Hundreds of people walked round  major streets of Yola yesterday before terminating the rally at the state secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) where prayers were offered.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir David Lawal who was represented by the Council chairman of Hong Local Government, Ahmad Halliru Lala urged the group to remain steadfast in prayers for successful implementation of Buhari’s anti corruption policies.

“The SGF is calling on you to pray for the president and support his anti corruption drive. Those who wish him death or pray against his return are thieves. Such people will be defeated”, he stated.

Abdulaziz Nyako in his remark said it was normal for human beings to fall sick irrespective of their age, adding that the rally was a welcome development as it brought patriotic Nigerians together.

He added that his father, Murtala Nyako, Senator Muhammad MuAllahyidi  Binta Masi, and many other politicians including Nuhu Ribadu asked him to convey their gratitude to those who attended the rally.

The APC Zonal chairman in the Southern Zone, Baba Oga who represented the state chairman of the party, Ibrahim Bilal commended the chairman of Buhari/Osibanjo Again, Yahaya Hammanjulde for organising the rally,

The rally was  attended by hundreds of people including commercial cyclists, drivers and petty traders on Saturday suspended business for several hours to participate in a special prayer session for their president
Most of those who attended said that their decision to come and participate in the session was bore out of love and concern for the president and the nation.
“We are here to declare our support to the president and the nation; we want to be party to anything that will promote the safety of our leaders and good governance”, Usman Audu, a tricyclist said.
A petty trader, Mr James Danladi, said that he and others decided to shut their shops for five hours to take part in the special prayers conducted by Christian and Muslim clerics.
“Our hope is that the President will fully recover and return to continue to lead us in this transformation journey,” Danladi said.

New Nigeria Newspapers discovered that no official of Adamawa State government attended the rally which attracted people from all walks of life.
