In the aftermath of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s, (the former governor of Kano State) defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to People’s Democratic Party (PDP), the senator’s spokesperson, Binta Spikin has said that President Buhari would lose election in Kano State during the anticipated 2019 general elections.
The statement trailed Mr Rotimi Amaechi, the Minister of Transport’s prediction earlier published claiming that President Mohammadu Buhari would win during the upcoming 2019 genereral elections in Kano, Sokoto and Bauchi States even if he was taken to the States ‘on a sick bed.
“If you bring the president on a sick bed to Bauchi and Kano, he would win and he has never lose election in Bauchi and Kano. But that is a bit arrogant on our side,we should never underestimate them” Amaechi said.”
Responding further, Kwankwaso’s spokesperson assured that her boss’s defection would not only distort polling outcome in Kano State but it would distabalise APC.
” I think his defection will greatly affect the votes in 2019. His defection would not only affect the chances of the APC in Kano, his defection has brought down APC”.
“If you look across Nigeria today, not Kano alone, there is nowhere in Nigeria that you won’t have the presence of Kwankwasiyya (Supporters of Kwankwaso)”.
