President Muhammadu Buhari has sent felicitations to former Director General of National Orientation Agency (NOA), Alhaji Idi Mohammed Farouk, on his 70th birthday.
Buhari said he joined all members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to celebrate the party stalwart, whose many achievements in both public and private sector brought him into limelight, particularly his contributions to human and community development over the years.
This was contained in a statement on Thursday by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu.
The statement said: “As he turns a septuagenarian, the President commends Alhaji Farouk’s steadfastness, loyalty and sacrifices in bringing the governing party to where it is today, winning the Presidential Elections for the second time, and recording outstanding success in the National Assembly and states election, by consistently placing Nigerians first in its manifesto and implementation.
“President Buhari believes the former Director General of the NOA’’s wealth of experience remains an asset to the APC and the nation, commending him for always making himself available for national assignments.
“The President prays that the almighty God will grant Alhaji Farouk longer life, good health and more wisdom to keep serving the nation he loves so much.”
