Buhari greets Muslims at Eid-El-Maulud

President Muhammadu Buhari on has charged Muslims in the country to emulate piety, prayerfulness and service to God and humanity that characterized the life of Prophet Mohammed (SAW).
Buhari’s admonition came as Muslims the world over commemorate the birth of the Holy Prophet.
A statement by the Presidential Spokesman, Femi Adesina, issued in Abuja quoted the President as advising Muslims in the country to  rededicate themselves to upholding the teachings of the Holy Prophet in their public and private lives.
The statement read: “President Muhammadu Buhari felicitates with the Islamic community in Nigeria as they celebrate the birthday of Prophet Muhammad.
“The President calls on all Muslims to use the opportunity of his birthday to reflect on the teachings of the Prophet, who lived a life of piety, prayer and service to God and humanity.
“As they join the rest of the Islamic world in commemorating the Prophet’s birthday, President Buhari urges the adherents of the Islamic faith to rededicate themselves to upholding the injunctions of the Holy Quran in their personal life and in their relationship with others.
“He wishes all Nigerians Happy Eid-el-Maulud celebrations.”
