Buhari: Gov Sani Bello Trounces Messengers of Death

 Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger state has described as indecent and ungodly the attitudes of some Nigerians who quickly resort to wishing their leaders death at the onset of misfortunes or ill-health.
He said such attitude was not only unpatriotic but gravely a crass challenge to God Almighty who is the author of life and death. He cautioned that “the trend must stop because we are all mortals and fallible.”
Speaking on the heels of the return of President Muhammadu Buhari from his prolonged vacation, Governor Bello said it was near an abuse to God for anyone to wish someone death or speculate that someone was dead when he is alive.
Governor Bello spoke in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Jibrin Baba Ndace. He said the return of President Buhari from medical vacation has not only put to rest such clueless and baseless grapevine stories but equally dealt a blow to mischief makers, spindrivers and messengers of death.
The Governor revealed that the perpetrators of such false, malicious and ungodly speculations were people who wanted to cash on the absence of Buhari to heat up the polity and cause stampede in the country to actualise their inordinate goals.
While expressing gratitudes to God for the safe return of Buhari, Governor Bello noted that God had listened to the collective prayers of concerned and patriotic Nigerians and granted our heart petition the relief we sought for by returning the President back home in good health.
He expressed optimism that the President would soon overcome his health challenges and settle down to steer the ship of state for the good of all and in furtherance of the goals and dividends of democracy.
Governor Bello also expressed hope that the President would continue to lead the country in his characteristics servant leader manner by being just, fair and sincere to all.
While commending religious bodies and political organizations for their steadfastness in prayers, outpouring of love and solidarity during the President’s trail moments, Governor Bello urged all well-meaning Nigerians to always think positive and pray for our leaders.
“Positive thoughts and prayers are fundamental grains  necessary to overcome challenges in nationhood. I am particularly excited at the level of solidarity shown to the President by Nigerians” he said.
He prayed Allah to continue to grant Mr. President sound health, greater strength, wisdom and courage to continue with the good governance of this country.
