President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the conferment of National Honours Award on Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State.
The approval for the conferment of National Honours Award of Commander of the Order of Niger (CON), on Governor Umahi was contained in a letter forwarded to the governor by the Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Senator George Akume on Monday.
They minister noted that the selection of Gov. Umahi for the award is as a result of his outstanding performance in Ebonyi State in the past seven years.
“His Excellency, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR has approved the conferment of National Honours Award of Commander of the order of the Niger, CON on Governor David Nweze Umahi,” the letter said.
The investiture of the Governor and other deserving Nigerians is slated to hold in Abuja on Tuesday October 11, 2022.
