Buhari appointees are trustworthy – Don …as Misau emirate fetes sons

The Director General, National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion, Dr. Dan-Azumi Ibrahim has observed that any appointee of the Buhari-led administration must possess the desired qualities and is trustworthy.
“In this Government of Change you will never get an appointment from President Muhammadu Buhari if you had to go through lobbying, so whoever get appointment at federal level must be somebody who has the quality and must be trustworthy”, he said.
Dr. Dan-Azumi noted that should it be through lobbying, himself and Dr. Maikanti Kachalla Baru wouldn’t have been where they are now, and attributed their appointments to an act of God.
The DG was speaking for Dr. Maikanti Baru, newly appointed Group Managing Director (GMD) of the NNPC initially tipped for vote of thank, and on behalf of eight other celebrants feted by Misau emirate council for excellenece in their various callings held Sunday at Chartwell Hotel and Suites, Misau in Bauchi state.
Ibrahim, while also noting that they were entrusted with responsibilities, assured the people of Misau emirate and entire Nigerians that they will not let them down, and expressed gratitude to all those who rejoiced with them at the Special civic reception.
Dr. Dan-Azumi Ibrahim, who expressed their appreciation to the Misau emirate council for the honour done to them, described the Emir of Misau, Alhaji Ahmed Suleiman as a bridge-builder who is fully committed to the speedy growth and development of the emirate.
He assured the Emir and people of the emirate of the celebrants’ individual and collective support towards moving Misau forward, stressing that it is only when the people collectively stand together that progress can be realized.
The Emir, Alhaji Ahmed Suleiman had earlier reminded the celebrants of their responsibilities to their communities, and urged them to propel their individual and collective contribution for the development of the emirate through the institutions of Misau Emirate Development Foundation and Misau Micro-finance Bank.
Alhaji Ahmed Suleiman pledged the Misau emirate loyalty to the Bauchi state government, and assured support to any programme that would accelerate the development of the emirate, as he called on the people to pray for peace, stability and prosperity of the nation.
Governor Mohammed Abubakar, represented by the State Head of Service, Alhaji Liman Bello commended Misau emirate council for identifying itself with its people, and described the occasion as one of the good qualities of leadership, saying it has been the tradition of the emirate to unite its people as bequeathed by its founder, Great Gwani Mukhtar.
He recalled that the people of Misau have been known for their peaceful disposition and respect for constituted authorities, and commended the emir for his untiring efforts in uniting the people of his domain and ensuring peaceful-coexistence among them.
The Governor appealed to the people of the emirate to continue giving the emir all necessary support and cooperation so that the emirate can maintain its reputation as one of the most peaceful communities in Bauchi State.
Other celebrants of the civic reception included Executive Director, Engineering at the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Professor Idris Abubakar, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Professor Awwal Uba, and Chief Medical Director (CMD) ATBUTH, Bauchi, Dr. Mohammed Alkali.
