BREAKING; Protesting Shi’ite Members to occupy Kaduna city centre for 24 hours

Date:

By; ALEX UANGBAOJE, Kaduna.
Members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), on Friday took-over the major township road in Kaduna; Ahmadu Bello Way to continue the protest on what they termed injustice by the government to detain their leader, Sheik Ibraheem El-Zakzaky and his wife and other members without trial.

‎The Shiite Movement said they will be occupying the Leventis Roundabout area of the city for 24 hours until the authorities listens to them and allow the freedom of their leader.

The group also conducted their ‘Juma’at’ prayers on the roundabout to plead their case before God to intervene on the government to see the need for the release of Sheik El-Zakzaky.

‎Addressing journalists, spokesman of the group during the protest, Muhammed Abari Bajoga said the protest will not end until their leader is set free and allowed to go free.

‎On their security, Bajoga explained that they don’t need the protection of the same government that killed their people and want all of them dead at all cost.

“Authority that killed us, if somebody slap your father will you seek his permission?” he asked rhetorically.

“We shall not rest in protesting for the release of our leader, his wife, our brothers and sisters, and if they refuse to listen to us, what we are going to do, the people will ‎see it In Sha Allah.” Bajoga said.
