Alhaji Usman Jidda Shuwa, the immediate past Secretary to the State Government, (SSG) Borno State is dead.
Shuwa, who until May 28, 2023 was SSG of Governor Babagana Umara Zulum’s administration passed away after a brief illness on Saturday.
He passed on at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, UMTH, on Saturday evening.
Late Usman Shuwa was a seasoned administrator with a long standing track records, having worked at the Presidential Villa, State House Abuja as Administration Secretary to the former First Lady, Hajiya Maryam Sani Abacha and later with the former Head of State, late General Sani Abacha before he was deployed as federal ministerial Secretary before attending National War College as a Fellow and l also served in various administrative capacities under Borno State Civil Service.
Late Shuwa was Born in 1958 in Bama town of Bama LGA of Borno State and died at the age of 65.
His funeral prayers and burial according to Muslim rites will take place at his residence, Gambole Road, GRA, Maiduguri by 2pm on Sunday as announced by the family.
