Three Soldiers of the Nigerian Army lost their lives in a fresh Boko Haram attack on Damaturu, the Yobe State capital.
Our Correspondent gathered from a credible source that the attack took place on Thursday behind the state owned university.
“Boko Haram struck yesterday afternoon in Damaturu behind the state University where three soldiers were reported to have lost their lives and several others sustain different degrees of injury. A source confirmed to me via a telephone chat this afternoon,” a credible source said.
The source said, it was baffling despite the heavy security present at various borders of the country linking to the North-East region, it beat the imagination of residents how these strings of attacks still take place.
No official confirmation yet on the reported attack, but a resident in Damaturu confirmed the attack and said it took place behind the university.
As at time of filing the report, efforts at reaching the acting Director, Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Kukasheka Usman to confirm the details proved abortive.
