Boko Haram: Affected communities to be rebuild, IDPs Camp Close May 29 – Shettima

The Chairman, Northern State Governor’s Forum, Kashim Shettima, has said Borno State is set to rebuild all affected communities by destroyed by Boko Haram insurgency and close all the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camps in Borno State by May 29th, 2017 and all IDPs will go back to their homes.
He Made the assertion in Kaduna while speaking at a two day annual Pan-Northern summit organized by the Northern Elders Forum.
According to Shettima, the Borno State government will not relent in its effort to rebuild the state as a whole and all the IDPs returned back home.
He added that, the state so far do not have the total records of orphans in the state as whole, but recorded over 18,000 orphans in Bama while the state also has a record of over 50,000 widows as a result of the activities insurgents in the state.
According to him, Bama, Gwoza, and Damasak communities would be rebuilt before the end of 2016.
He noted that Boko Haram terrorism have been degraded to an extent that they can no longer constitute a threat to the existence of the state.
He however commended President Mahammadu Buhari as well as the Nigeria Army for their dorgade action and fight against the insurgency in the North East.
