Despite the successes recorded by the military in the war against insurgent, it have been revealed that the fleeting Boko Haram sect are still ravaging communities within the Adamawa-Borno border.
Hon. Adamu Kamale, Federal Lawmaker representing Michika/Madagali Federal constituency, from Adamawa state at the National Assembly who made this disclosure during the weekend maintained that, Boko Haram insurgents are still lunching attacks and abducting innocent people in our border areas for recruitment and captivity.
“The Boko Haram insurgents have continued to raid our border communities killing people and ransacking the returning communities. I spent five days in my constituency; they are living in an atmosphere of fear and disdain, because the rampaging Boko Haram terrorist continued to launch attack” he disclosed.
According to the lawmaker, last week the insurgent killed two vigilantes in Waga, and hours later they proceeded to  nearby villages during which 3 women were abducted.
“Though our soldiers are trying but they need to brace up and collaborate with relevant agencies and volunteers to mop up the areas” Kamale stated
He stressed further that, ‘’Because of the incessant attacks, our people are now living in fear of uncertainty, while others that have earlier returned  have begun to flee again, because about four farmers were reported to have been attacked and killed’’
Kamale therefore called upon the Federal and state Governments to as a matter of urgency, flush out the remaining fleeing insurgents so as to provide safe and conducive atmosphere for the already terrorized Nigerians leaving along these border communities in Adamawa, Yobe and Borno states.
