Benue Assembly charges Bureau on smooth land admin
ARCHIBONG ESUENE, Makurdi
Chairman, Benue State House of Assembly standing committee on Land, Hon. Anthony Ogbu has urged the Bureau for Land and Survey to work out modalities that would enhance smooth land administration in the state.
Speaking when during an oversight visit to the Bureau, Hon. Ogbu promised support of the Assembly through enactment of legislations that would enhance effective land development in the state saying the eight Assemblies will do everything possible to protect the rights of Benue citizens in land development.
Ogbu charged the Bureau to set up a machinery that would look into grey areas with a view to come up with amicable resolution adding that no meaningful development can take place in an atmosphere of chaos.
According to him, one of the policy trusts of Governor Ortom’s administration is to attract investors to the state hence the need for proper land development cannot be overemphasized.
