Bauchi Govt To Reward Hard Working Corps Members

Governor Mohammed Abubakar of Bauchi state has assured of the state government’s readiness to recognize and reward corps members serving in the state found to be productive and hardworking during their service years. 
 
The governor made the pledge during the closing ceremony of three weeks orientation course of the 2017 Batch B, Stream II NYSC members posted to Bauchi, Yobe and Adamawa states that underwent camping activities at Wailo  Camp in the state.
 
Represented by the State Head of Civil Service, Liman Bello, the governor enjoined the youths to channel their resourcefulness towards executing projects that would positively impact on the people of their host communities. 
 
He also urged the corps members to exhibit good manners during the service period, assuring that their welfare and security would continue to be accorded the highest priority deserves. 
 
Also speaking, the state NYSC coordinator, Afolayan James advised the youths to be mindful of the objectives of the scheme so as to diligently serve the nation.
 
“You are therefore to remain in your places of primary assignment for the duration of the service year and avoid unnecessary and unauthorized journeys”, James told the corps members.
 James also ensure them to respect the customs, traditions and general ways of life of their host communities so that they can genuinely identify with and contribute to their development.
