The Chief Imam of Bauchi Central Mosque, Bala Ahmed Baban-Inna has counseled the Emir of Bauchi, Dr. Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu to mediate into the pervading disunity among political stakeholders for the overall progress and development of the state.
According to him, the raging disunity and controversies among the political gladiators in the state rather than bringing together the entire people towards common goals, is leaving them in disarray which, he noted, is inimical to economic prosperity and speedy development.
Baban-Inna opined that the unforeseen disunity among the Bauchi political class has usurped the state of the much-needed socio-economic and political transformation, as it also deprived the electorates of their desired democracy dividends.
He therefore urged the emir to use the instrument of the council of chiefs and persuasions in bringing together all stakeholders on a unified pedestal towards achieving the desired goals of political and economic stability, progress and development.
Alhaji Bala Ahmed Baban-Inna also urged the Muslim Ummah to repent from their misdeeds and pray to Almighty Allah for salvation; else catastrophes will continue to befall the society.
He commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his administration zeal and commitment for easing up the insecurity that has for years bedeviled Nigerians, particularly people in the Northeast that are being traumatized by Boko Haram insurgents.
“The last year Eid-el Kabir celebration was observed with insecurity threats particularly in our Northeast zone where people have been traumatized by prevailing Boko Haram insurgency”.
Baban-Inna called on Nigerians, especially adherents of Buhari administration to give the President all necessary support and cooperation towards salvaging them from the shackles of economic recession, abject poverty, and hunger.
