Bandits Abduct Pupils In Nasarawa

Nasarawa State Police Command, has confirmed the abduction by bandits, of some pupils of LGEA Primary School, Alwaza, in Alwaza community, Doma Local Government Area of the state in the early hours of Friday. 

DSP Rahman Nansel, the state PPRO who confirmed the incident, stated that already, a joint team of Police, military and vigilante has been mobilised and despatched who are on the trail of the abductors, reported to be on motorcycles.

A source also confirmed to New Nigerian that in the early hours of Friday, unknown gunmen stormed LGEA Primary School, Alwaza, in Alwaza community, Doma LGA of Nasarawa State and abducted scores of school pupils in the area using motorcycles.

According to him, unspecified number of primary school pupils were whisked away the pupils, who reportedly laid siege to the school, while the children were reporting to school.

The whereabouts of the pupils, he explained and their abductors is unknown at the moment but also confirmed that security personnel have been despatched to ensure the pupils are rescued from the hands of their abductors.
