District head of Daura Waje and Sardaunan Daura, Alhaji Auwal Faruk has turbaned Alhaji Haruna Bala Zango as the new ward head of Unguwar Sardauna in Daura metropolis.
The ceremony which was conducted at Kalgo Town Hall, was attended by relatives, friends and well wishers of Alhaji Bala Zango.
Speaking shortly after the Turbanning, the Sardauna of Daura, Alhaji Auwal Faruk said the appointment of Alhaji Haruna Bala Zango was based on merit.
Alhaji Auwal Faruk drew the attention of the new ward head to work for the development of the area given to him.
Alhaji Faruk emphasized that, “Alhaji Haruna Bala Zango is a man of people who go along with every body.”
The District head of Daura Waje, Alhaji Auwal Faruk called on the new ward head of Unguwar Sardauna, Alhaji Haruna Bala Zango to be God fearing in the discharge of his duty.
Also speaking, an Uncle to the appointee, Alhaji Yusuf Shehu described the day as historic to their family.
Alhaji Yusuf Shehu who is a Legislative aide to the speaker of the National assembly said Alhaji Haruna Bala Zango deserved the appointment.
Alhaji Yusuf Shehu advised Alhaji Haruna Bala Zango to be patient and honest in the discharge of his duty and be loyal to the constituted authority.
The ceremony was attended by hundreds of people within and out side Daura Local Government Area.
