In what appears as a good start for the third force in the Nigerian political arena, the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has received tens of APC, PDP bigwigs in Jigawa, among other thousands from other parties who joined.
Least amongst them are the former spokesperson of Governor Badaru Comrade Bello Zaki APC and former Senator Abdul Aziz Tarabu.
Others include former Commissioners under Sule Lamido administration, Hon. Rabiu Isa Taura, Hon. Hannafi Fagam, Shehu Chamo, as well as former Lamido’s Chief of Staff, Mal. Aminu Ringim.
Ringim who contested for governorship election twice under the PDP, was the leader of the sessions of the state party congress where it elected state executives through consensus.
The congress was attended by thousands of party members.
