Babangida, Sani Bello, Others Mourn Late Kure

The former Governor of Niger state, Engineer Abdulkadir Abdullahi Kure is dead.
Kure died at a German hospital over undisclosed ailment. He was the Governor of Niger state between 1999 and 2007 on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP).
Kure died at the aged of 60 and is survived by a wife, many children, grand children and other relatives.
Meanwhile, Niger State Government and the former Governor, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu have described the death of Kure as shocking to Nigerlites in particular and the country in general.
The state government in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Abubakar Sani Bello, Jibrin Baba Ndace said the vacuum created by the death of Abdulkadir Kure will be difficult to fill.
The former Governor had about mid last year put away political differences and offered to mediate in a labour dispute between organized labour and the state government over wage matter.
