The Credentials Committee of Triennial Delegates Conference of National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE) has declared Comrade Umar Auwalu as the new Chairman of Kaduna State Council.
According to the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Engineer Alao Abubakar and his Secretary, Comrade Steven Gimba, the new Chairman, Comrade Umar Auwalu scored sixty four votes.
He also announced that Sheyi Nuhu Wakila emerged Vice Chairman of the council with 80 votes, while the new Secretary, Comrade Ali Ado got 69 votes.
Other members of the executive are, Babalola Abubakar Assistant Secretary, Usman Shehu Muhammed PRO, Saidu Ibrahim Karaye Auditor.
Haruna Muhammed, Health and Safety, Sanura James Trustee, were also elected.
The three Ex officios are, Adamu Justina Kuman, Ibrahim Musa and Salisu AbdulAzeez.
In his acceptance speech, the new Chairman, Comrade Umar Auwalu pledged to bring policies that would carry everyone along.
He commended the past executive of the union and members on how they conducted themselves during the election.
