A group of Youth in Gombe State, Arewa Youth Advocacy for Good Governance has presented an award of Icon of Societal Development to Architect Abdurrahman Musthapha Baba, who is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dankawu Universal Service, a firm established in 2011, that has provided jobs to over 500 youth in Gombe.
In his remarks during the presentation, the Chairman of Arewa Youth Advocacy for Good Governance in Nigeria, Ambassador Abdurrahman Ibrahim, described Architect Abdulrahman Mustapha Baba as a humble in developing the society and nation in general
He explained that the activities of Arewa Youth Advocacy include training the youth in leadership, entrepreneurship and fighting gender based violence in the society among others.
Ambassador Abdurrahman Ibrahim also said they are partnering with Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and Industrial Training Fund (ITF) and any other organisation that has interest in moving the society forward to training the youth on various skills aquisition.
Ambassador Ibrahim, enjoined the Chief Executive Officer of Dankawu Universal Service to continue doing his good work in uplifting the lives of people in the community, especially the less privileged.
Architect Abdurrahman Baba said Dankawu entrepreneurship skills is focusing on training the youth which as a result of its commitment so far, trained over five hundred youth in different entrepreneurship skills.
According to him, they are train not less than 500 yearly, and also are engaging more youth in farming activities on more than fifty hectares in both dry and raining season.
He therefore, commended Arewa Youth Advocacy for Good Governance for their efforts.
