APSSON Charges NITT New  Executive To Be Professional

The national President of Association of Professional Secretarial Staff of Nigeria (APSSON), Comrade Nasiru Yaro has charged the new executive members of NITT Branch to formulate policies and programmes that will be knowledge oriented such as seminars to members as the association is now  professional.

He gave the charge at the formal inauguration of Nigerian Institute for Transport Technology (NITT), Zaria branch recently.

Comrade Yaro said, it is obligatory for the branch to now fly the flag of the institute at  national fora through adequate representation at any conference and meeting where issues bothering on the state of affairs of the profession and the nation are exhaustively deliberated.

The president also advised the new executive to see their emergence as a call to service and accept it as a challenge.

He acknowledged the institution’s management for being supportive and hospitable to members who came  to witness the ceremony.

In his message, the Director General of NITT Zaria,  Dr. Bayero Salih Farah said the institute will continue to support the association.

Represented by Engr. Elkana  Ngbale, Director, Training of the institute, he said there is no office that can perform effectively without the secretariat that is why they are special.

Dr. Bayero warned that if a secret of an organization is leaked, mostly it is from the secretary, which is not proper and unprofessional.

In her acceptance speech, the NITT Branch President, Alechenu Patience Eneh assured the management and members of the association of its total commitment towards achieving the desired success.

She promised to carry every member along and appealed to all members to join hands with her in moving the association to  greater heights.

The new executives are to serve for a period of four years.
