Agro-Processing, Productivity Enhancement and Livestock Improvement Support Programme (APPEAL), has so far trained youth and women amongst them 100 people living with disabilities in different farming technics since is inception in Kaduna State.
Making this assertion at the Pre-7th Implementation Support Mission, held in Kaduna on Friday, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer of APPEAL Kaduna State, Dr. Wasiu Olayinka Fawole explained that the project has also assisted 2,000 farmers with machineries and in the best farming technics to adopt for them to attain good harvest and crop yields.
“We have shown them on how to protect their crops from pests. We have also assisted them with pesticides, storage and packaging.”
According to him, APPEAL is concreting on three basic farming, which are ginger, dairy and maize farming.
