The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Youth Wing is excited to announce that the APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, will officially launch the APC Youth Wing Workplace Readiness Training Programme.
This eagerly awaited “Workplace Readiness and Employability Skills Training Program,” themed “I AM EMPLOYABLE,” will take place from June 4 to 7, 2024, in Abuja. It will also be accessible virtually for participants nationwide.
Designed to equip young party members with essential skills and knowledge, the APC Youth Wing Workplace Readiness Training Program aims to enhance employability and prepare participants for successful careers.
The programme covers a wide range of topics, including professional development, effective communication, leadership, and industry-specific skills.
Dr. Ganduje’s involvement underscores the APC’s commitment to youth empowerment and fostering a culture of excellence and professionalism within the party. His leadership and vision continue to inspire the next generation of leaders in Nigeria.

Prominent speakers at the event include, E.G. Jibola Ponnle, former CIPM CEO and immediate past Lagos Commissioner for Training; Niyi Adesanya, CEO of FifthGear Plus and Management Consultant; and Morayo Afolabi-Brown, a respected media personality. These distinguished professionals will be joined by an impressive lineup of trainers and facilitators such as Tosin Adesina, Yeye-Mides Fabanwo, Njuara Njama, Dare Akinlaja, Jide Jinadu, Funke Oluwatimilehin, Elizabeth Ajala, Akin Akinpelu, Soji Adeniyi, Sam Obafemi, Oluseye Taiwo Adepoju, Lesley George, Abiola Champ, Jeph Oluwagbemiga, Stephen Akintayo, and Bode Shogo.
The event will be held in Abuja and streamed live to accommodate virtual attendees.

The APC National Youth Wing Workplace Readiness and Employability Skills Training Program (WREST) aims to help young Nigerians aged 16 and above develop the core skills that employers desire, improving their ability to secure jobs, retain employment, and navigate the labor market.
The programme will enhance personal branding skills, effective CV and resume presentation, core workplace skills, innovative thinking, and competitive strategies for thriving in a global society.
With the theme, “I Am Employable,” this initiative is a major effort to build the economic capacity of young Nigerians, equipping them with the necessary skills, knowledge, and opportunities to contribute meaningfully to their communities. The underlying objective is to contribute to Nigeria’s structural transformation and economic growth by enhancing employability, labor productivity, and reducing unemployment.
This initiative is part of the APC National Youth Strategic Plan 2024-2027, reflecting Dr. Dayo Israel’s commitment to fostering youth empowerment and development through strategic initiatives and partnerships. It underscores a strong dedication to youth capacity development, targeting youths, graduates, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members, and individuals transitioning careers, aiming to enhance their employability in today’s competitive job market.
According to APC National Youth Leader and Training Convener, Dr. Dayo Israel, “Our primary goal with this program is to improve the economic capacity of young Nigerians, especially young progressives, by empowering them with the necessary core skills that will enhance their ability to secure a job, retain employment, and move flexibly in the labor market – Prepare Young People for the Workplace.”
Dr. Dayo Israel further stated, “This initiative is a crucial step in our broader strategy to foster youth development and economic growth in Nigeria.”
