Chairman Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) and Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, has said history has already noted the huge commitment, sacrifice and sense of patriotism shown by All Progressive Congress Governors, party leaders at different levels and all over the country under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Rochas made the declarations in his opening address at the 4th PGF Governance lecture holding at Umaru Mus Yar’Adua Indoor Sport Hall, Kaduna.
He stressed that their election victory in 2015 is now their onerous responsibility to transform the lives of millions of citizens for the better.
According to APG Chairman “Regardless of the downturn in global prices of commodities particularly Nigeria’s earnings from crude oil which has in turn imposed difficult economic realities on our people, the APC is totally committed to bringing the much desired change.
“We must accept that change is a process and not an event, it is important to emphasize that President Buhari, APC Governors and the host of our party leaders are committed to the change process, which account for our landmark victory in the 2015 elections,”.
He added that this year’s lectures are aimed at promoting public engagement with APC state governors as well as selling the APC to the citizenry as a people oriented, change focused and truly social democratic political organization.
“I reiterate my optimism and confidence that APC leaders, as ably led by President Buhari are irreversibly committed to bequeath not only the change promise but the Nigeria of our dream.
“We have come today to brainstorm on the best possible way to achieve our good plans for the Nigerian people in record time”, he emphasizes.
