Former Presidential candidate and National Chairman  of the National Action Council (NAC) Dr Olapade Agoro on Wednesday said the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Muhammadu Buhari are no longer in charge of Nigeria.

Dr Agoro stated this in a statement he made available to newsmen in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital titled “Futility of President Buhari New Year message 7000MW Power generation of darkness , Security Provision”

The NAC leader maintained that it was unfortunate that the new year promises of President Buhari are no longer realistic especially in the area of power generation.

“What all these 7,000 MW power generation statement of futility and as well the inability to provide adequate security to the citizenry of this country so early in the year  is that the APC and President Muhammadu Buhari can no longer be seriously seen in charge of Nigeria.” he said.

According to Dr Agoro. no sooner that President Buhari ” finished his address, Nigeria started experiencing 7000MW of total darkness.”
“A man’s strength of honour will be found in the upholding and fulfillment of his word. This goes indeed well with the delivery of new year message by President Muhammadu Buhari  gleefully telling the nation that Nigeria now generates 7000 MW.  However, as if the God of truth and honesty threw back Buhari’s word on his face, no sooner he finished his address, Nigeria started experiencing 7,000MW of total darkness.

Dr Agoro pointed out that ” added to the 7,000 MW power generation statement futility of Mr. President, unfortunately was the dastardly  event of horror unleashing by Herdsmen on Benue Communities resulting in the death of about 50 innocent citizens.”
