The crisis rocking the Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) seems laid to rest as the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has recognised Dr. Taiwo Afolabi and Chief Ozo Chukwura as Chairman and Vice Chairman of Registered Board of Trustees (BoT)) of the association.

Cited by our correspondent, the certificate issued on September 7, 2022 with registration number 6754 also listed Mrssrs Onyenaechi Offor, Emmanuel Azodo, Eniola Igbaroo, Ayokunle Abel, Aliyu Isa, Shamsudeen Awopeju and Christian Igwe as other members.

Also obtained was a photograph showing Dr. Kayode Farinto, ANLCA Acting National President, Afolabi and Chukwura displaying the certificate.

Afolabi, Chairman of SIFAX Group was chosen by his fellow BoT members at the Marriot Hotel Lagos last year following the expiration of the tenure of former chairman of the BOT.

It would be recalled that some erstwhile members, described as dissidents have been parading themselves as the authentic members of the BOT.

The former members which include Taiwo Mustapha, Taiye Oyeniyi, John Offordike, elder Samuel One, Gideon Nwagbaraocha, Amope Oluokun, Yetunde Ilori, Mike Okolichi and Charlies Jefas had allegedly invaded the secretariat of the association unlawfully for a meeting on August 24, 2022.

The Commissioner of Police Lagos Command Abiodun Alabi had granted the request of the erswhile board members access to the secretariat via a letter and also gave them police backup on August 24, 2022.
