*Victim alleged to have killed cousin

Angry youth in Soba Local Government Area of Kaduna State have killed a 25 years old, identified as Sani Adamu of Tashar Iche Maigana and set his remains ablaze over alleged motorcycle snatching and killing of his cousin, Abubakar Haruna of Bauda Village of Maigana.
The incident occurred on Monday May 15, 2023, after Sani Adamu lured his cousin, Abubakar Haruna a 20 years old and smashed his head with an object with the intention of stealing the motorcycle, which led to his death.
An eye witness told our correspondent who visited the area that at about 12.30 on that fateful day, Sani Adamu asked his cousin to accompany him to a nearby village, on their way, he used an object and hit him on the head, which led to his death.
He said, when the news of snatching and the killing of Abubakar Haruna reached the youth in the village, they trooped out in their numbers, chased the suspect and killed him and set his body ablaze.
All efforts by the Police to disperse the crowd failed, because of the large crowd and dangerous weapons they were holding.
When contacted over the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer Kaduna state Command DSP Muhammad Jalige said he is yet to receive the report.
