Amosun charges Insurance Professionals on policy formulation

The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has called on professionals in the insurance sector to consistently formulate policies that will adequately protect industries and business in the country against eventualities.
Governor Amosun stated his while addressing the 2016 Insurance professionals’ Forum of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria held in Abeokuta with the theme ‘’The Insurance Industry National Economic Shift and New Business Realities’’.
Represented by his deputy, Chief Mrs. Yetunde Onanuga, the governor said the theme was apt, especially as investors were being wooed all over the world to invest in the nation and the state in particular, in the areas of Agriculture, Mining, Export promotion, among others.
Amosun asserted that with increased call for the diversification from an oil dependent economy to an industrial based one, there was the need to match it with policies that would guarantee the survival and viability of the industries to forestall the ripple effects of moribund industries on the economy.
He further charged the institute to come up with practicable template that would not only assure the safety of investments, but also conducive insurance driven environment for high yield on investment.
Amosun congratulated the President of the Institute, Lady Isioma Chukwuma and other members of the Institute for organising the forum, observing that the forum, since inception, had maintained a credible reputation as the largest convocation of practitioners and stakeholders in the insurance industry.
Earlier, the President of the Institute, Lady Isioma Chukwuma thanked Senator Ibikunle Amosun for providing a conducive environment for business to thrive in the state.
