There was a mild drama at a wedding ceremony in Ibadan on Saturday when a groom identified as Togo alleged to be armed robbery suspect was arrested by the police during his wedding engagement.
It was gathered that the groom was arrested with some of his friends and that of her bride alleged to be suspects too.
The drama started when policemen invaded the Ola Oluwa area of Amuloko venue of the wedding engagement to arrest Togo for his alleged involvement in a robbery operation.
Sources said the policemen on arrival stormed the place where the groom was sitting to effect his arrest and handcuffed him.
According to the sources, the Police immediately whisked the suspect away with some of his arrested friends and that the groom is presently with men of the Oyo state anti robbery Squad (SARS) for further investigations.
Reliable police sources confirmed the arrest of the suspected armed robber with his friends and that investigations is on going on the matter.
