Alleged kidnap; Court adjorns ABU staff case again

The Chief Magistrate Court sitting at Chediya GRA, Sabon Gari, Zaria has adjourned the hearing of a case between Commissioner of Police and Miss Joy Enobong-Akpan a staff of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria and her daughter Akon Iyene a student of ABU Zaria for criminal conspiracy and false information against some staff of the University to August 4th, 2016.
Enobong-Akpan (defendant), a staff of Kashim Ibrahim Library allegedly accused the staff of the institution of abducting her biological daughter Akon Iyene a student of Human Anotomy department ABU Zaria.
Our correspondent report that following the appearance of a Senior State Counsel from the Ministry of Justice as the  prosecuting officer, A.A Akus made an application for the adjournment to enabled him prepared for the hearings as the offense committed is under section; 97, 140 and 151 penal code, which the defence counsel accepted.
It could be recalled that on the 4th of March, 2016 at about 13hrs a letter of complaint titled missing student named Akon Iyene was filled from the office of Chief Security Officer ABU Zaria at the Zaria Area Command of the Nigerian Police for further investigation.
The case had been adjourned to August 4th, 2016 for hearing.
