Al-Makura Receives New Commissioner Of Police To Nasarawa

His Excellency Umaru Tanko Almakura today receives the newly posted communissioner of police to the state tasking the new Commissioner to take into consideration the critical position of the state as being one of the closest to the nation’s Capital, where 60 percent of the FCT was carved out of.
Gov. Almakura made this known as he received the newly posted Nasarawa State Police Commissioner Ahmed Bello at the Government House Lafia.
He made it clear that Nasarawa State could not be looked at as other state due to its proximity and the position it occupies; as anything that affects Nasarawa state has direct bearing on the Federal Capital.
The Governor explained that issues of security was everyone’s business stating that all the citizens of the state including himself were all part of the security arrangement, that would support and encourage the police.
He thanked the Police Commissioner for the visit, making it known that they had high hopes in the new CP and hoped he would hit the ground running, assuring him of the support of the Nasarawa state Government.
Speaking earlier, the new Nasarawa State Commissioner of Police CP Ahmed Bello said he was there to seek the blessing and guidance of the governor as he begins his duty in Nasarawa state,  hoping that his stay in Nasarawa state would be a success and peaceful.
He assured the governor that he would do all he could to ensure Nasarawa state was secure and peaceful assuring the governor that he would rely on him for guidance .
The new Commissioner of Police was formerly the CP Homicide Force Headquarters Abuja and Acting Commissioner of Police Taraba before transferred to Nasarawa.
