Akwa Ibom: Apostle Okoriko’s Abductors Demand N100m Ransom

Unknown gunmen who abducted the Founder and President of Solid Rock Kingdom Church at his residence in Mkpat Enin local government area of Akwa Ibom state have demanded ransom from the family.
Family sources who spoke to our Correspondent in Uyo on Thursday said that the abductors used the Apostle’s phone number to communicate with the family so they can raise money. 
The family source who pleaded anonymity added the abductors initially demanded N100m but when the family could not raised the amount they brought it down to N30m . 
” In the morning today, the man of God called us and asked that his abductors are now looking for N30m   We don’t have such money.  We are still begging them, ” he said 
However, some elders in the church have requested members to stop all social media postings to help security agencies in intelligence  gathering on the abduction of the man of God.
It would recalled that the Founder and President Solid Rock Kingdom Church Apostle John Okoriko was abducted by unknown gunmen who stormed his compound and whisked him away . 
During the incident, it was reported that the hoodlums fired many shots and escaped with  the man of God into nearby bush to unknown destination. 
AKwa Ibom State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Odiko MacDon assured the public that the Commisioner of Police, CP Andrew Ammieghene has ordered investigation into the incident.
