All Northern Youth Forum has described the new Director General of the DSS, Mr. Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi as a seasoned security intelligence officer and administrator who has received several trainings in diverse areas of management, security leadership, critical thinking and human resource development amongst many other areas of study.
The Youth Forum also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Mr Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi as Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS).
Speaking at a Press Conference in Kaduna, the Secretary of the Forum, Hamza Walijan, who was together with other officials of the Forum, said All Northern Youth Forum is an umbrella body of over three hundred Northern Youth Groups, NGOs, CSO’s and Associations saddled with the responsibilities which include but not limited to promoting the good image of Arewa through advocating for good governance, security, free quality education, standard health care and also acts as a bridge builder of peace and unity across the entire Arewa in particular, Nigeria in general as well as Nigerians in diaspora.
“On behalf of aIl Northern Youth Forum, we do thank and commend Mr. President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his appointment of Mr. Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi as Director General, Department of State Services.” He said.
“The wisdom and foresight in this particular appointment is exemplary and knows no bounds. Mr. Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi, a seasoned security intelligence officer and administrator who has received several trainings in diverse areas of management, security leadership, critical thinking and human resource development amongst many other areas of study.”
“Mr. Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi, has served and headed various offices in the Department of State Services, where he has also had and made tremendous impact in the discharge of his duties.
Chiefly amongst which were his time as State Director in Rivers, Bayelsa and Enugu States where he remarkably reduced the incessant oil-bunkery in the region as well as activities of MASSOB.”
The Forum said in Bauchi and Kogi States, the new DG of DSS evidently combated and curbed the activities of criminal elements within these states, particularly the Ansar-udden network which consisted of Boko Haram elements.
“Mr. Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi, MON achieved what was termed impossible; he successfully eradicated the Boko Haram elements within the State, thus, successfully checking the spread of the Boko Haram within the North East and North Central regions; a situation that drew the personal commendation of the then sitting Governor, Alhaji Isa Yuguda.”
“It is important to note that these achievements are not merely statistics but represent real improvements in the lives of Nigerian citizens within these areas and reflect his commitment to excellence.
“We, the members of All Northern Youth Forum have seen under the guidance of Mr. Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi, a tremendous improvement in security issues and its consequent effect everywhere he has served.”
“Thus, it is our humble belief that these achievements will be replicated in the entire country particularly in the North East and North West where banditry, kidnapping and terrorism hold sway.”
“As in the words of former Spoke person of the Department of State Service, Dr. Peter Afunanya, ‘Mr. Ajayi is diligent, resilient, urbane, pro-active and analytic. He comes to his new position with experience, capacity and immense goodwill, It is in the light of which, we, the members of All Northern Youth Forum pass a vote of confidence on the appointment and ability of Mr. Adeo la Oluwatosin Ajayi to carry on the function of his office as the Director General Department of State Services.”
