Dr. Olu Agunloye in conjunction with Professor Wole Soyinka co founded Federal Road Safety Corps ( FRSC), the Olofun of Irele land Oba Clement Olarewaju Lebi has said.
This revelation which was made by Oba Lebi when Dr. Agunloye and his Deputy, Erelu Akindele-Martins along with their campaign team paid him a visit at his palace said, Agunloye will do better for the state if voted to power by November 26, 2016 because the legacy he left at FRSC still speaks volumes for the country.
Oba Lebi also assured that going by his (Agunloye’s) innovative tendencies, he will put an end to confusion and crisis that characterised the state in recent times.
According to him, governance is for people with integrity and not for ”mediocracies” who have no ability to govern the people effectively.
He however sounded prophetic when he prayed that God has anointed Agunloye as Governor as from November 26, 2016 the same way He anointed David to deliver Israel from the hand of Goliath.
While responding, Dr. Agunloye thanked the people for the rousing welcome, and disclosed that his administration will set the ball rolling in the state by ”empowering the Youths to put food on their tables since they shall be empowered to be employers of labour’,
He also said that the sweat of ”Labourers will no longer dry” in Ondo state since salaries/wages and pensions shall be paid as at when due.
The experience of Oba Lebi about the SDP candidate how ever re echoed in other places visited in Ijaw land, as Regent of Akotogbo, His Majesty, Oba Emoruwa Iwalewa and the Ahaba Ode of Ajagba, His Royal Majesty, Oba Thomas Oluwole Adesayo showered encomiums on Dr. Agunloiye.
They also expressed their readiness to work for the success of SDP and that of Agunloye at the poll going by their personal encounter with the former Minister of Power and Steel, saying his exit as the Minister of Power and Steel has created a vacuum as no one has been able to complete the good work of connecting their communities to national grid.
Oba Adesayo however went down memory lane to recall his personal experience and encounter with Dr. Agunloye when he was in government which said has made him to look forward to the day he will come to seek for their votes as governorship candidate.
He also took time to offer traditional prayer that Dr. Agunloye shall surpass his co contestants on November 26, 2016 since he is the most distinguished without allegation of financial misappropriations or corruption as the Pioneer Marshal of Federal Road Safety (FRSC) and as a Minister.
In spite of heavy downpour, the campaign train of the SDP moved from Akotogbo to Ajagba all in Irele local government of Ondo State to canvass for votes in the coming governorship election.
