AGILE Project Gathers Steam, Captures 54 Katsina Schools

Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) project is progressing at 54 captured secondary schools in Mani Local Government Area of Katsina State.

The projects features drilling of boreholes, construction of toilets, erection of tank stands and general rehabilitation of some dilapidated structures at the benefiting schools.

The Zonal Quality Assurance Director, Alhaji Sani Bawa said that already, work has commenced in over 40 schools,  while others are at the finishing stages.

Alhaji Sani Bawa said that , the office is committed towards ensuring that the Schools Basic Management Committees (SBMC)  are executing qualitative projects.

According to him, the projects when completed, would equally address major problems faced by the schools in the area.

Also speaking, the Chairman of ANCOPS in the zone, Ahaji Hassan Abdulrahman said that principals in the area would not compromise on the quality of the projects  being executed.

In their separate remarks, Aliyu Muhammad Lawal and Lawal Ibrahim expressed  appreciation for the programmes, which they said are geared towards ensuring conducive atmosphere of learning and teaching.

Imam Lawal Liman Doro in his remarks,  said that their association PTA and SBMC are doing everything possible for the AGILE programme to succeed.
