The Ahmadu Bello Stadium (ABS) failed to be lucky this time as Mohammed Sallah of the Egyptian national team; Pharaohs leveled the scores to 1-1 during the extra time of the 2017 Africa Nations Cup qualifiers in the match played against the Super Eagles in Kaduna on Friday.
The Eagles had earlier in the second half taken the lead through Etebor Oghenekaro to the delight of the home fans who thronged the 25,000 seating capacity facility which was over stretched.
As it stands, the Eagles would be going all out to beat Egypt in the return leg match billed for Alexandria, Egypt if they must come back to contend for a place in the next AFCON billed for Gabon next year.
The Kaduna fans were disappointed by the result, but failed to blame the players, concluding that the officials failed to spot the off-side position that gave the visitors the win.
Eagles now have a total of five points and remain second in the group, with Egypt maintaining lead with two points clear; at seven points.
