The National President, All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) Arc. Kabiru Ibrahim has congratulated Nigeria on its 62 years anniversary of independent from the colonial Masters.
In a statement issued jointly signed by the National President, Deputy President 1, Rev. Tobias A. Iwuh and Deputy President II, High Chief.O O. Olaifa and made available to journalists in Zaria, said the association will not be left out in unique celebration.
The statement reads, ” I write to you on behalf of All farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) today and to wish you Happy 62ND Independence anniversary”.
” I bring to you good tidings and the assurance of the continued effort of our (SHFs) Small Holder Farmers for reensuring optimum productivity.”
According to the statement, even in the midst of many shocks ranging from insecurity, flooding and drought in some states of the federation, farmers will remain committed in food production for Nigeria to remain self sustained in agricultural production.
The AFAN President hoped and prayed that the 63rd Anniversary will be celebrated with food security in Nigeria.
