Adamawa Executive Council charged to re-align govt operations for better productivity

The Adamawa State executive council has been charged on the need to re-align the operation of the state government for better performance.
Adamawa State Governor Muhammadu Umar Jibrilla Bindow who made the call at a retreat organized for State Executive Council members, Commissioners, Permanent Secretaries and Senior Special Advicers  in Yola, maintained that  the knowledge and ideas acquired from the retreat should be used to  work in synergy to build a strong  and cohesive administration in the state.
“It is our belief that at the end of the retreat, useful ideas would be used to improve capacity to deliver our mandate and give us opportunity to evaluate what we have done so far in the last one year and consolidate on our challenges”he stated
Bindow who was represented by the Deputy Governor  Martins Nasir Babale disclosed to the gathering  that his administration has taken bold step geared towards developing the state hence the need to appraise the achievement and improve on challenges so far.
He stated further that service delivery is the cardinal objective of the present administration and called on all and sundry to put all hands on deck to achieve the nobel objective.
Earlier, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Dr Umar Bindir who is the chairman of the occasion pointed out that most times, due process is not adhered to in the process of governance in the state, thus urged the participants to change for the better.
According to him, government is going to re introduce mandatory registry in all ministries and parastatals in the state to ensure all memos pass through before government would act on any request.
Bindir stated that the political instability faced by previous
administrations in the state contributed to low economic visibility in the state which exposed this administration to some challenges.
He explained that the state is blessed with traditional and cultural heritage, if properly harness is capable of hosting Festival of Arts and Culture to boost the revenue drive of the state.
Commissioner for Information and Strategy Comrade Ahmed Sajoh who is chairman of Technical Committee of the retreat, lauds the efforts of the state government for organizing the retreat saying at the end of the workshop, knowledge acquired would put government machinery on the right track.##
