The Director General Media to Governor Ahmadu Umar Fintiri of Adamawa State, Solomon Kumangar has called on one of the gubernatorial aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Umar Mustapha Madawaki to throw in the towel in order to avoid defeat at the May 2022 gubernatorial primaries of the APC.
Kumangar who expressed this in a  statement made available to New Nigerian on Thursday, said  that Mustapha should quickly abort his vain mission and save himself from shame because the handwriting on the wall shows that he would suffer catastrophic defeat at his party’s primaries.

The DG media who was reacting to a recent statement credited to Mustapha where he claimed, he will bury Fintiri and the PDP if given his party’s ticket to run for 2023 in Adamawa, described the statement as “Shocking and a big slap to leading APC gubernatorial aspirants of the opposition in Adamawa, not a rabble-rouser like Mustapha that will be randomly defeated.
“The way Mustapha is ranting has shown that he is alone in his vain struggle to get his party’s ticket.
“His party daily losses support of prominent  members to the ruling party in Adamawa.

“We have nothing but sympathy for “Otumba” because he has lost some of his trusted supporters who have abandoned him to team up with Governor Umaru Fintiri.
“Nothing could be more demoralising than losing prominent members of your party with few days to what is almost certain to be his last attempt to clinch a seat that he covets by noise-making and signboard erection since 2019.
“We believe that it may be ideal for the self-acclaimed Otumba to pull out of the gubernatorial race to save himself from what is almost certain to be a crushing defeat.
‘If any defection was bound to hit APC, it was that of former Minister of health, Idi Hong, to the PDP, known in the opposition ranks as a “game changer”. Kumanga stated.
He maintained that with the recent defection to PDP, there can be no clearer message to undecided voters across the state that Fintiri is the better choice.
“With Idi Hongs’s decision to dump APC, it is safe to say that PDP’s chance to improve on the thousands of votes it had in 2019 in Hong is sure”, Kumanga affirmed.
