The leadership of the Action Alliance (AA)  has dispelled news of the purported merger of the party with the All Progressives Congress (APC) in a bid to support the presidential candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

National chairman of the party, Dr Adekunle Rufai Omoaje in a statement issued on Friday, denied ever contemplating any merger  with APC or any other group for that matter, saying the party would not work for any candidate at the expense of its own.

He reiterated that, the party has a presidential candidate presented to INEC, as such, there is no parley with any other group or individual in respect of the coming elections.

Some  individuals not known to the party leadership, claiming to come from the North West zone, had issued a statement signed by one Hajiya Amina Kilishi Lamido, who is totally unknown to the party, but claiming to be Zonal Coordinator of the Major Hamzat Almustafa (rtd)  Presidential Council in the North West Zone,  claimed that the AA campaign committee and the leadership, including members of the party have merged with the presidential campaign team of Tinubu/Shetima.

The Chairman of the party, Hon (Dr.) Omoaje who described the development as a mere figment of the deceptive minds of peddlers of such satanic willful thoughts, intimated that such arrangement only exists in the minds of those peddling such rumours to sleaze the Tinubu/Shetima campaign team.

Omoaje noted that all the claims by the propagators of such rumours are mere figments of their own imagination.

He said, “AA has calved a niche to winning elections,”  reiterating that Action Alliance is better focused on winning  than engaging in frivolities.

According to the National Chairman, “the names of the party leaders from the North West zone include, Suleiman Abdulrasheed

(National Secretary Kaduna State), Alhaji Muhammad Abubakar

(National Vice Chairman North West Jigawa State), Hajiya Aisha Abdullahi, Deputy National women leader (Niger State) and  Alhaji Sani Darma (Kano State Leader). None of the sleazemaniacs is known to the party.”

Others are the State Chairmen from North West zone including, Hon. Magaji Marafa (Kaduna State), Saminu yaro (Kastina state ), Aliyu inusa Danbago (Kano State ), Alh. Ismaila Dutse  (Jigawa State), Shuaiba Altine (Sokoto State), Tukur Musa Yaro (Kebbi state) and Hon. Sani idirs (Zanfara State).

He advised the general public to be wary of the antics of political tricksters at this time, most especially as elections are around the corner.

He concluded by saying that only those who emerged on the platform of the party through his leadership are the  authentic candidates recognized by the party.
